The Government of Arunachal Pradesh has announced a landmark Rs 2,500 crore industrial development plan aimed at transforming the state into a major investment hub in the North-Eastern region. Chief Minister Pema Khandu unveiled the plan at a special session held at the State Legislative Assembly in Itanagar on January 15, 2025.
The plan covers three primary sectors -- hydropower, tourism, and agri-horticulture -- and includes provisions for capital subsidies of up to 30%, GST reimbursement for 10 years, and expedited single-window clearances. The state government has also committed to developing 15 new industrial estates across districts including Papum Pare, Lower Subansiri, and Tawang.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister stated, "Arunachal Pradesh is poised for unprecedented growth. Our strategic location, abundant natural resources, and skilled workforce make us an ideal destination for responsible investment. We are committed to providing world-class infrastructure and a transparent regulatory framework to every investor who partners with us."
